Version 2.1
What's new in Version 2.1
Officially released in June 2011, Version 2.1 focused on expanding Fuse's configurability and analysis features. This update to Fuse included the addition of the Fuse API (Application Programming Interface), a substantial expansion to the dashboard, and the addition of a new metric library. Download the 2.1 Overview for a detailed look at the new features in version 2.1.
Fuse Application Programming Interface (API)
The Fuse API is a flexible means of extracting the results from a Fuse analysis and pushing them directly into custom reports and external applications. All of the standard Fuse analyses (Metric, Logic, and Forensic Analysis) can be remotely driven through the API. In short, the Fuse API provides the flexibility of extending the standard analytics and reporting capabilities built into Fuse, to satisfy specific custom needs.
Example uses of the Fuse API:
- Develop custom reports
- Publish Fuse dashboards to Primavera web
- Integrate with 3rd party applications and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports
- Export schedule data to custom formats
- Integrate with web-services
- Automate the generation and publication of schedule briefings
- Publish Fuse results directly to portals such as Microsoft Sharepoint

Dashboard Enhancements
Now view metric analysis results as a chart or graph within the dashboard. Customize the dashboard layout as well as the content, with any analysis view or project overview needed.
- New dashboard layouts for easier use
- Configurable content: choose tabular or graphical view for each widget
- New analysis options: select any Fuse analysis data to be included
Acumen's Baseline Compliance Analysis
Acumen's unique method of assessing project performance, Baseline Compliance Analysis, can now be run on any project schedule through the new Baseline Compliance metric library.
This group of metrics not only looks at performance characteristics, such as the number of activities started or finished in a period, but then uses this information to provide a true understanding of project performance.
