Version 3.1

What's new in Version 3.1?

Released in March 2012, Version 3.1 focuses on enhancing current features, maintaining compatibility with the project management tools and standards that our users rely on, and strengthening the capability of project teams to use Fuse to truly determine their project's future success. These additions, gleaned directly from Fuse user requests, enhance the advanced analysis capabilities Fuse is known for. Compare your project anonymously against hundreds of other similar projects, take control of eliminating schedule flaws, and be confident in the knowledge that Acumen Fuse will continue to evolve to meet the needs of today's projects.

Take a video tour of the new features in Fuse 3.1 with Acumen CEO and founder, Dr. Dan Patterson.

Schedule Cleanser™

The Fuse schedule cleanser has been enhanced to allow you to review and correct individual schedule flaws.  Target redundant logic links, constraints, or even convert lags to activities.

Overly complex schedules can impair the quality of subsequent analyses (risk analysis, cost analysis, etc.) as well as make updating and understanding the schedule a complicated process.

Fuse 3.1 not only identifies these areas of concern, but allows you to review and remove them completely creating a clean version of the schedule that can be pushed back to Primavera or Microsoft Project.

Calendar Forensics

With the latest addition to the Fuse Forensic Analyzer, you can track changes in calendar definitions from activity to activity, quickly and easily. Find where working days and shifts have been added and removed in an easy-to-understand visual format.

UN/CEFACT and DCMA 14-Point Assessment Update

The UN/CEFACT schedule network schema continues to be the open standard xml format that U.S. government agencies such as PARCA and DCMA endorse. These agencies are targeting a late 2012 requirement for the largest Department of Defense contract schedule submissions to be in the UN/CEFACT format for compliance review. Acumen has been partnering diligently with these oversight agencies as well as UN/CEFACT core team members to ensure Fuse continues to support the latest requirements. Fuse natively integrates with this xml open standard today to deliver the unique, in-depth analysis our user community expects regardless of data source.

Additionally, Acumen has worked directly with the DCMA to ensure compliance of the 14 Point Assessment Metrics included in Fuse with DCMA's guidelines. If you would like this update in advance of the upcoming release of Fuse, contact us.
