What's new in Version 3.0

Officially released in October 2011, Version 3.0 focuses on adding new features and functions. These additions, gleaned directly from Fuse user requests, enhance the advanced analysis capabilities Fuse is known for. Now, run an analysis and not only report the errors, complexities, and flaws, but remove them instantly! Understand driving logic with the new Logic Trace feature and better visualize project status and plan through the new timeline view.

Schedule CleanserTM

Remove redundant logic and constraints from the schedule with one click!

Overly complex schedules can impair the quality of subsequent analyses (risk analysis, cost analysis, etc.) as well as make updating and understanding the schedule a complicated process.

Fuse 3.0 not only identifies these areas of concern, but can remove them completely creating a clean version of the schedule that can be pushed back to Primavera or Microsoft Project.

Timeline Visualization 

Want to see how the project changes with each status update? The Fuse timeline view clearly shows how the project dates and durations change.


Use the project filters to show key milestones, critical activities, or even filter activities by status and view them on the timeline view. 

Drill-Down Analysis

Now drill to specific ribbons to apply metrics to sub-groups. For example, analyze the planning quality of only critical activities within a WBS or understand the forecasted cost of a specific contractor within a WBS. Develop hierarchical filtered analysis views and quickly navigate back through the new bread crumb navigation. 

Logic TraceTM

Now, visualize schedule logic in the ribbon view! Run a driving logic analysis to determine driving logic feeding into and out of the selected activity. Apply metrics to specific network paths, or simply understand how groups of activities are linked together. Trace logic both forwards and backwards to view links and identify true driving paths. 

Acumen's Fuse Quality IndexTM

Acumen's white paper, "Does Better Scheduling Drive Execution Success?" provides information on the correlation between high quality scheduling and the overall success of the project. Understand your project's Fuse Quality Index (schedule, cost forecast and risk model quality) with the latest addition to Fuse's analysis metrics. Compare your project to benchmark scores or compare the quality index of contractor bids and schedule updates.
